We have been in existence for at least
20 years, both as a competitive swim team and as a fun
recreational swim program run out of the Village of Ravena Pool.
Our purpose is to promote the sport of age-group swimming. We
strive to provide a positive atmosphere in which to learn and
develop the skills of competitive swimming. The Ravena Swim Club
is registered with USA Swimming, the national governing body for
amateur swimming in this country. The USA swimming age-group
swimming program is Americas largest program of guided
fitness activity for children. Age-group swimming builds a
strong foundation for a life time of good health, by teaching
healthy fitness habits.
In recent years we have had more and
more of our swimmers participate in year round programs. With
the addition of an indoor pool in our community, we need not look
any further than our own back yard. The team has a well
established year round USA certified competitive swim coach,
David Burns, who has produced some of the top swimmers in this
region.
If you have any questions, please E-mail Coach Burns or call (518)694-3764 or the RCS
Aquatics Facitily at 756-5200 ext.2065.
